      <image:caption>Dr. Davide Preso joined the Phisical Acoustics Lab in 2024 on a EPSRC-funded project about catalytic sonochemical processes for green hydrogen production from ammonia. He obtained his BSc and MSc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Bologna (Italy). After a short stay as a Scientific Assistant at ETH Zurich (Switzerland), working on the development of an ammonia-based CO2-capture process, he joined EPFL (Switzerland) as a Doctoral Assistant. Here, he received his PhD in Mechanics with a work on the effect of gas and vapor on the dynamics of single cavitation bubbles. His current interests include sonochemical conversion of water, ammonia, and carbon dioxide, and phase change effects in cavitation bubbles.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Dr Dong Xia received his PhD degree from University of Leeds (2020). He then joined the National Institute for Materials Science as a postdoctoral fellow in Japan focusing on utilizing conductive metal-organic frameworks for electrocatalytic hydrogen production (2022). Currently, he is a joint postdoctoral research fellow in Manchester Metropolitan University and University of Oxford (2023), where he focuses on exploring the electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction and the sonoelectrochemical carbon dioxide reduction. His interests are in constructing nanocarbon-based aerogels for Joule heating studies and synthesizing various nanocatalysts for thermocatalytic/electrocatalytic implications.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Dr. Justin Morton obtained a BSc degree in physics from the University of Kent and later pursued a materials science MSc degree at University College London. Thereafter, he joined the EcoUltra 2D project as a PhD student at Oxford Brookes University under the supervision of Prof. Iakovos Tzanakis specialising in two dimensional materials exfoliation utilising ultrasonic cavitation. Recently, he published in Materials Today with a paper entitled “New insights into sono-exfoliation mechanisms of graphite: In situ high-speed imaging studies and acoustic measurements”, focusing on the fundamentals of cavitation bubble interactions with bulk layered materials during exfoliation. He is currently working as a PDRA at the University of Oxford in the Physical Acoustics Laboratory under the supervision of Prof. James Kwan, focusing on ultrasound-enhanced drug delivery for peripheral artery disease.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Dr. Xuelan Hou earned her B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering from Hebei University of Technology, China; her M.Sc. degree in Industrial Catalysis from Tianjin University, China, in 2017 under the supervision of Prof. Yongdan Li, on a topic of ‘Photocatalytic overall water splitting and photoelectrochemical water oxidation reaction’; and her Ph.D. in Engineering Physics from Aalto University, Finland, in 2022 under the supervision of Prof. Peter D. Lund, worked on ‘Solar cells and solar driven green hydrogen production’. After obtaining her Ph.D., she joined the Kwan’s Research Group led by Prof. James Kwan at the Department of Engineering Science and the Prof. Edman Tsang’s group at the Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory as a Post-doc Research Assistant at the University of Oxford in December 2022. She will be working on the research topic: Producing green hydrogen via sonocatalytic cracking of Ammonia. She is also interested in solar energy conversion and storage into solar fuels such as NH3, H2O2 and hydrocarbon.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Team - Ipshita Gupta</image:title>
      <image:caption>Ipshita Gupta completed Phd In Biomedical Engineering from Drexel University, Philadelphia, USA in 2018. Prior to this, she did her Masters in Biomedical Engineering from Oxford University, UK.  During the course of her PhD, she worked in collaboration with GE Healthcare on a multi-centre clinical trial funded by NIH RO1 grant and developed an ultrasound based, non-invasive pressure monitoring technique for liver pressures based on subharmonic emissions from microbubbles. She has also co-filed a patent for this technique. Post her PhD, she was working as a post doc fellow at the department of Radiology at Thomas Jefferson University during which she undertook multiple teaching and research assignments. Her work has been presented in various international conferences and she has published several articles in peer reviewed journals and written a book chapter as well. She joined the Kwan Research Group in 2019 as a research fellow.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Team - Mohamad Salimi</image:title>
      <image:caption>Dr. Mohamad Salimi completed a PhD in vibroacoustic condition monitoring at the Institute of Sound and Vibration Research (ISVR) at the University of Southampton. Currently, he is working in Kwan's Research Group on the setup of a sonochemical reactor and is closely working under the supervision of Prof. Bañares-Alcántara on technoeconomic models for ammonia cracking and catalytic sonochemistry. Prior to joining, Mohamad worked at an Innovation Centre within TWI in Cambridge, where he wrote proposals, secured grants, and successfully completed multiple projects funded by organisations such as Innovate UK, Horizon Europe, EPSRC, and internally funded TWI core research projects in collaboration with TWI Hellas.</image:caption>
